New Baltic Sea Itinerary Debuts as Popular Journeys Evolve and Capacity Grows in the Mediterranean and Iberia
WILTON, CT (February 24, 2026) – Tauck has announced its 2027 Small Ship Cruising lineup, highlighted by a new Baltic Sea itinerary, along with enhancements to returning guest-favorite itineraries in the Galápagos and additional capacity in the Aegean and Iberia.
Tauck's new Cruising the Baltic Sea itinerary features Northern Europe's Baltic region aboard Ponant's Explorer-class ship Le Champlain, carrying an average of fewer than 160 guests on each sailing. The 12-day itinerary (from $12,990 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare) explores a region rich in history, culture and wild natural beauty, with calls in Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Wismar, Gdańsk, Copenhagen and the island of Visby. Reflecting rising demand for Northern Europe and interest in cooler-climate destinations, the itinerary marks Tauck's return to the Baltic region, known for its rich history, cultural diversity and less-traveled ports.
Highlights include a Tauck-exclusive special dinner at Stockholm's Vasa Museum and immersive shore excursions such as visits to Estonia's Memorial to the Victims of Communism, Poland's European Solidarity Centre, and the UNESCO-listed old towns of Visby and Lübeck. Guests will also enjoy special onboard enrichment with a dedicated special lecturer, and curated sightseeing in less-visited ports such as Lübeck, accessible only to smaller vessels. Strong early demand has placed the itinerary close to selling out, underscoring continued momentum for Tauck's small ship cruising portfolio as the company looks ahead to 2028.
"Our small ship cruises continue to resonate with guests because they combine distinctive itinerary design, meaningful cultural access and a level of care that removes the complexity from travel," said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh. "For 2027, we're building on that foundation—introducing a long-anticipated new Baltic Sea itinerary while continuing to refine and enhance our most popular journeys."
EXPANDED DEPARTURES AND ENHANCEMENTS ON POPULAR ITINERARIES
With the demand rising for popular Mediterranean itineraries, Tauck is expanding departures to two sought-after voyages that continually sell out.
The 14-day Aegean Voyage: Athens to Istanbul itinerary (from $13,490 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare), is extending its season and adding two more departures to the 2027 lineup running from April to October. The journey includes a two-night stay at Athens' iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne and three nights at the InterContinental Istanbul. Guests then enjoy an eight-night cruise through the heart of the Aegean aboard Windstar's intimate all-suite 312-passenger yacht Star Legend. Highlights include guided visits to Istanbul's historic mosques and bazaars, Ephesus, Santorini, Delphi and Athens, along with exclusive events such as an evening dinner in ancient Ephesus and scenic transits through the Corinth Canal.
Similarly, Tauck's Treasures of Spain and Portugal is a 13-day itinerary (from $10,490 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare) that frequently sells out. To meet continued demand, Tauck is adding two departures and introducing select departures aboard Windstar's all-suite yacht Star Legend, complementing sailings traditionally operated aboard the line's elegant 342-passenger sailing yacht, Wind Surf. Guests onboard the Wind Surf will enjoy recently refurbished staterooms and enhanced amenity spaces. The journey includes two-night stays at both the InterContinental Lisbon and the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, with an eight-night cruise between these two cities. The journey connects Portugal and Spain's most storied ports with enriching overland experiences, including Sintra and Cascais, Seville from Cádiz, an overland excursion to Granada from Almería, and the island of Palma de Mallorca, along with Tauck-exclusive cultural moments such as flamenco performances, wine tastings, private palace visits and locally hosted meals.
One of the company's most sought-after journeys, Tauck's Hidden Galapagos & Peru itinerary returns for 2027 with a series of enhancements designed to deliver a more immersive and seamlessly choreographed journey. Most significantly, all on-tour flights are now operated as fully private charters, streamlining travel within Ecuador. Guests also now embark the expedition cruise portion of the itinerary from Quito, a historic and walkable capital known for its preserved old town and colonial architecture, where guests enjoy pre- and post-cruise stays at Casa Gangotena, a Relais & Châteaux mansion overlooking Plaza San Francisco.
In the Galápagos, guests then embark an exclusive seven-night cruise aboard Silver Origin, an all-suite expedition ship carrying no more than 40 Tauck guests, offering one of the most spacious and luxurious small-ship experiences in the archipelago. On land, guests now stay at the InterContinental Real Lima in the upscale waterfront district of Miraflores, followed by a stay at Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Peru's Sacred Valley, and at the JW Marriott Cusco, a restored 16th-century Augustinian convent built atop Incan ruins, just steps from the Plaza de Armas. (From $17,990 USD per person, double occupancy, plus airfare).
For more than thirty years, Tauck's small ship cruising has featured destination-inspired cultural voyages and expeditions aboard a hand-picked fleet of vessels. Carrying an average of 200 or fewer guests, all Tauck journeys are fully inclusive, covering shore excursions (averaging 15 guests per local guide), gratuities, onboard beverages, transfers, lectures and more. On board guests benefit from dedicated ship liaisons, experienced Tauck Directors at a ratio of one for every 40 guests, and exclusive access ashore including private tenders or Zodiac landings where appropriate.
In all, Tauck will offer 22 small ship cruises in 2027—including two Tauck Bridges itineraries designed for families—and will open reservations in March.
